I didn't catch this in 2009–Luby's 3 stages of psychological development of traders:

1. search for the Holy Grail (the quick big win)
2. managing wins and losses, trying to stay in the game
3. maturity

This would apply to successful traders, for the unsuccessful trader change #3 to fear, and add 4. Anger, 5. Withdraw (from the market)
